My summer internship with a huge company which i thought would give me great exposure was going decently. Then came a storm, my manger said " Ankur, we need to close out in 3 days, so get ready for late nights". I was like ok, late nights must mean 10 pm. So I started working, in the middle stopping for coffee, trying to call up a few friends and setting up my primary research call.
The day was going the usual way and I felt I should be out of office by 8. At 4 I had the call with a industry person and in came work streaming. Shit I missed this, i missed that.
Started working on my presentation, took a maggie break at 6. Before I knew it, it was 8. My manager decided to treat me and we were off for a quick bite to New Yorker which was like two blocks from office. I had some lebanese thing and the priority was basically to get back to office as soon as possible.
Reached office and I decided I am closing out the presentation. Got everything ready by 12, sent it to my manager who responded in half an hours time of the changes to be made. I was like shit how many times do I change stuff.
I started changing it and by the time I was done and added some intro slides it was 1:45 am. I was on the next day. Shit still work to do. My manager said lets go home, get some sleep. But where was I going to get any sleep, wanted to start typing my college report too.
